A Day In The CotswoldsYour personal driver guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel and let you know what the Cotswolds tour will entail. If you have any requests this would be a good time to discus them with your guide.
As you leave London your driver guide will tell you about some of the landmarks you pass on route as well as a little history of London.
For our Cotswold tour we head west out of London with an option to visit the university city of Oxford on route to the Cotswolds.
Quintessentially English the Cotswolds are officially designated as an "area of outstanding natural beauty" and when you arrive you will see why. The area offers a mixture of sleepy villages that can easily take you back in time as well as market towns that are ideal for the traditional British pub lunch.
Your personal driver guide will take you on a Cotswolds tour of quaint English limestone villages with names that make you think like, Upper & Lower Slaughter and the Swells. Small towns like Bourton on the Water, Chipping Campden and Broadway are great places for a stroll and a bit of window shopping. Most of these towns have not yet heard of chain stores and are all serviced by local independent shops. Some of these Cotswold villages have not changed in hundreds of years.
The Cotswolds are also home to some wonderful gardens like Hidcote Manor and Kiftsgate Court. A great way to end the day.
Now it's time to sit back and relax as your driver guide takes you back to your hotel.
